San Antonio - Day 1

We arrived in San Antonio on Thursday afternoon after a much longer drive than we expected. Julia was not very fond of being strapped in her carseat so I spent most of the trip in the backseat trying to keep her entertained. We stayed at the Hotel Contessa Luxury Suites, which was right on the Riverwalk. It had a living area with a pull out sofa and a separate bedroom that could be closed off, which was nice since Julia goes to bed so much earlier than the rest of us. There was a swimming pool on the rooftop, which Jordan thought was amazing, but he was the only one of us that could brave the cold water. After we got settled into our room and had freshened up, we went to the Riverwalk. We rode on one of the riverboats and were shocked at how hot it was in San Antonio compared to home. Every one of us looks dazed in the pictures from the first day of the trip. I guess it was a combination of being tired from the drive and the scorching San Antonio sun. Here are a few pictures from our first day in San Antonio.
