Weekend with Memaw

My mom and I took the the kids to visit Memaw over the weekend. The car ride was less than pleasant, but we had a good time once we got there. The first picture is of Julia and Jordan on Memaw's front porch swing. I have so many memories of sitting on this swing as a kid and looking at the stars or thinking of what adventure to go on next. There were always so many fun things to do at Memaw's house - chase the chickens, try to ride the cows, explore the barns, fish in the pond, hide in the haystacks, etc. But there was nothing more relaxing than to sit on Memaw's front porch swing and dream the day away. My mom rocked me to sleep many times on this swing and Saturday night I rocked Julia to sleep on it. Too bad she woke up as soon as we opened the screen door to go inside, but that's another story.

The kids next door to Memaw have a really neat tree house that Jordan is extremely envious of. They have a cable that runs from the top of the tree house, across the entire yard, and down to another tree. Jordan had so much fun with the neighbors sliding down this cable. I was terrified to watch him because it was really high, but if Jordan was scared, he sure didn't show it. Here's a picture of him sliding down the cable.
